By using Ancestrus you agree to these Terms. Ancestrus is operated by RobLabs OÜ (Estonia). Read carefully — especially the limits on result interpretation.
1. Acceptance
By creating an account or uploading Raw Data you confirm you are 18 years or older and accept these Terms in full.
2. The service
Ancestrus analyzes raw genetic files you provide and generates statistical ancestry composition reports, historical narratives and PDFs. It is NOT a medical test, does NOT diagnose disease, and does NOT replace professional genetic counseling.
3. Probabilistic nature of results
Ancestry results are STATISTICAL ESTIMATES based on population reference panels. They are NOT proof of nationality, legal ethnicity, citizenship, inheritance or documented genealogy. Results may differ across companies/models due to different reference panels.
4. Account
You are responsible for your credentials. Notify us of unauthorized access. One account per natural person.
5. User content
You retain ownership of your Raw Data. You grant Ancestrus a limited license to process it solely to generate your reports and (with your consent) family matches.
6. Prohibited use
Do not use Ancestrus to: upload third-party data without their written consent, illegal activity, reverse engineering, automated scraping, or attempt to identify other users without mutual match consent.
7. Payments
Payments are processed by Stripe.com Market Limited, acting as Merchant of Record. Prices include taxes where applicable. See the Refund Policy.
8. Intellectual property
Brand, design, code, generated narratives and PDFs belong to RobLabs OÜ. You may use your own report freely for personal purposes.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Ancestrus's total liability is limited to the amount you paid in the last 12 months. We are not liable for personal, family, legal or medical decisions made based on results.
10. Termination
You may terminate your account at any time. We may suspend accounts that violate these Terms.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the law of Estonia. Venue: courts of Tallinn, save mandatory consumer rights in your country of residence.
